Adidas Adios Adizero Pro 3 Review

Best Marathon Running Shoe?

I was never a fan of Adidas running shoes. I could never find a pair that suited me or worked for me. That all changed in 2022 when a friend of mine was kind enough to send me a pair of Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3! Yes it has a stupid name (why not just Adidas Pro 3), but oh boy these shoes are amazing!

Upper

Celermesh 2.0 is good but it is not as good as the Strung upper on the Prime X. That said it does perform well in every conditions I have run it in! I have taken my first pair through some warm half marathons and the shoe was excellent. The fit is great. There is one downside of the shoe at that is the lacing, it could be the worst lacing on a super shoe. You constantly have to change them, I even stopped midway through the Amsterdam Marathon to adjust them!

Midsole

I absolutely love the blend of the Lightstrike pro. It offers a semi soft platform that helps propel you forward, working with the Energyrods to drive you along the road. I have had no stability issues with the shoe at all, it is just a joy to run in!

Outsole

The outsole has performed very well. There is rubber in all the right places. It is is that tacky sort of rubber that seems to stick to the tarmac. The wear on the shoe has been great and my first pair are about 100 miles and they look fresh!

Value

Currently selling for £175 on sale at the end of the year these are an absolute bargain if you have a spring marathon. That is why I ordered my second pair to get me through London and Manchester Marathon's in the new year.

Does it make you feel awesome?

Yes Yes Yes .... I am not going to add anymore than that because put simply IT DOES!

Yah or Nah?

100% yay! I was an Alphafly junkie, totally set in running them in my marathons. It wasn't until JBS sent me his Pro 3's and said FORDY give these ago. I was genuinely blown away. They just feel with you as you push through those 26.2 miles. You do not have the extreme presence of the Alphafly but the confidence the Pro 3 gives you can not be underestimated. I have also had fun running the Pro 3 in a few faster half's as well, which makes it more versatile for me than the Alphafly. Oh year the Alphafly 2 is £289 as well so yes people buy the Adios Pro 3!
